SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- New York Army National Guard Col. Benjamin Tupper, the division public affairs officer. The three were on hand for the opening ceremony of the Rainbow DivisionVeterans Memorial Foundation 92nd Annual Reunion. The reunion, held in Albany, runs from July 12-14th. Melinek served in the division’s 42nd Chemical Company during WWII. This year marks the first large-scale gathering of the division’s Iraq war veterans under the foundation leadership of its latest chairmen, retired Maj. Gen. Joseph Taluto.
