GUILDERLAND--Staff Sgt. Carlos Perez and Sgt. Daniel Tucker, forward observers in the HHC 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, NY Army National Guard, call in an indirect fire report during an exercise while.Sgt First Class Charles Crouchman and Staff Sgt. Curtis Brand, drill instructors in Co. F, 2/417th Regiment, 4th Bde., 98th Division, Army Reserve, observe and give advice, on March 10, 2013, at Guilderland Range, Guilderland, NY. The 42nd CAB is preparing for a deloyment later this year, and coordinated with the Army Reserve to bring drill instructors to run the unit in exercises ranging from identifying and responding to IEDs, reacting to indirect fire, and room clearing.
