New York Shooters Win Second Place

BLOEMFONTEIN,South Africa -- Members of the joint New York Army and Air National Guard team participating in the South African Combat Rifle Competition receive their second place award during a ceremony here on March 11. The ten member New York National Guard Team--composed of five Airmen and five Soldiers--finished second place out of 35 teams and 350 individual shooters.Pictured are (from left) Tech Sgt. Weatherby, Master Sgt. Jose Pena-Rojas Staff Sgt. Mathew Zimmer, Senior Airman Mathew Rosen 1st Lt. Sean Lucas , Staff Sgt. Nicholas Hare, Sgt. Massami Yamakado, 1st Lt. Thomas Beach, 1st Lt.
