KANGERLUSSUAQ, GREENLAND--An LC-130 Skibird from the 109th Airlift Wing sits on the ramp at Kangerlussuaq Airport Greenland with the Northern Lights dazzling in the sky above. The Northern Lights occur during the winter and are especially bright on a dark night in Greenland. The 109th conducts training and scientific research support annually in Greenland from March-August.
