NEW YORK-- Soldiers from the New York Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment march past St. Patrick's Cathedral, accompanied by one of their Irish Wolfhound mascots, on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2025 as they lead the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade. The regiment has led the parade since 1851. Only a small group of Soldiers marched this year since the battalion was deployed to provide security in New York's prisons during a correction officer strike.
