FARMINGDALE - Bert Cunningham, left, the volunteer historian for the 69th Regimental Headquarters, and Courtney Burns, the director of the New York State Military Museum for the Division of Military and Naval Affairs, pose for a photograph with a portrait of legendary ballplayer Babe Ruth in his New York National Guard uniform on September 23 2021, as they completed the installation of 50 historical images of the New York Army National Guard ranging from the Civil War to today at the Farmingdale Armed Forces Reserve Center. The display is on the 4th floor Farmingdale, NY facility. Burns is responsible for highlighting and preserving the history of the New York National Guard for Guard members and the public.
