42nd ID Band deploys in OIFFormer members of the 199th Army Band deployed to Kuwait then Iraq in early January. Now as members of the 42nd Infantry Division (Rainbow) Band, they will be taking over the mission of the 1st Infantry Division (The Big Red One) Band. Our commander, CW3 Joe Martellaro and our readiness NCO, SFC Peter Bellanca traveled to Ft. Drum on January 3, 2005 to spend some time with our former members and to wish them well on their deployment. It is hoped that they will return to us next January if all goes well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Godspeed. VACANCIESThe 199th Army Band currently has openings in all sections. Contact SFC Peter Bellanca Readiness NCO at (914) 788-7336 to schedule an audition.
