Brooklyn Army Base Brooklyn Army Base & Brooklyn Army Terminal, 1941/1955, Kings County, Brooklyn. The US Army's main port of embarkation in New York City. Located on the Brooklyn waterfront at 1st and 58th Street. Consisting of a large complex of piers, docks, warhouses, cranes, railroad sidings and cargo loading equipment. Responsible for shipment of army equipment and personnel overseas. Renamed Brooklyn Army Terminal in 1955.
