Brooklyn Coast Guard Air Station

Brooklyn Coast Guard Air Station, 1938, Kings County, Brooklyn. Floyd Bennet Field. In 1942-44, site of first operational helicopter testing and pilot training for US Military. First helicopter aid mission flown from here 14 February 1944. Coast Guard Air Station from 1938 to present.
