1st Artillery, Battery K Guidon

The NYS Battle Flag Collection includes one flag carried by Battery K, 1st Artillery (Light), NY Volunteers, a silk swallowtail guidon in the “stars and stripes” pattern prescribed in General Order No. 4, dated January 18, 1862. The flag includes a painted inscription in gold along the bottom half. The canton includes 34 painted stars in the typical concentric circle star pattern. (2004.0078)
