12th Cavalry Standard

The NYS Battle Flag Collection includes one standard carried by the 12th Cavalry. The flag has considerable losses, approximately 60%, mainly from the center and fly. From what remains we can determine that the standard included the painted arms of the United States. The lower ribbon does include portions of the painted regimental identification. (2004.0023)
