This pair of silk general guide flags in the US National pattern conform to the 1889 U.S. Army Regulations. Each flag's canton includes 44 embroidered stars in two concentric circles and one star in each corner. The regiment's numeric designation is embroidered within the inner circle. Blue, white and red tie-backs were used to attach the flag to its staff. The above measurements do not include the ties.
