61st New York Volunteer Infantry National Color

This national color, pieced together in red, white, and blue silk with 1/8-inch flat-felled seams and two rows of machine stitching, features 35 painted stars in five rows and the regiment's numeric designation painted along the center stripe. The inscription also appears on the reverse, reading backwards.(2010.0343)
