Enlisted on 8/25/1862 at Yonkers, NY as a Captain.
On 9/10/1862 he was commissioned into "K" Co. NY 6th Heavy Artillery
On 9/11/1863 he transferred into "D" Co. Veteran Reserve Corps 10th.
