Alexander Elder: Age, 37 years.
Enrolled April 26th, 1861 at New York City as
a captain.
Mustered into Company C as a lieutenant colonel May 2nd,
1861 for a
two-year tour of duty. Died of disease October 31st, 1861 in New York City.
