Enlisted on 8/30/1861 at Glens Falls, NY as a Private.
On 8/30/1861 he mustered into "A" Co. NY 93rd Infantry
He was discharged for promotion on 9/5/1861 at Arlington, VA
On 9/5/1861 he was commissioned into Field & Staff NY 22nd Infantry
On 9/5/1861 he was promoted to 1st Lt. & Quartermast of the 22nd
He was Mustered Out on 6/19/1863 at Albany, NY
On 7/8/1863 he was commissioned into US Volunteers Quartermaster's Dept
On 7/8/1863 he was promoted to Capt. & Asst. QM
He was Mustered Out on 11/27/1865
