Cpt. Emil Koenig Back to 58th Regiment During the Civil War Emil Koenig: Age, 24 years. Enrolled September 18th, 1861 at New York City. Mustered into Company C U.S. Rifles as a sergeant September 25th, 1861. Transferred to Company I, this regiment November 23rd, 1861 and mustered as in as second lieutenant December 11th, 1861. Promoted to first lieutenant June 18th, 1862 and mustered in as captain Company E May 1st, 1863. Mustered out with company October 1st, 1865 at Nashville TN. Back to 58th Regiment During the Civil War
