Cpt. Eugene M. Deming Back to 61st Regiment During the Civil War
Eugene M. Demming: Age, 21 years. Enrolled October 1st, 1861 at New York City. Mustered into Company I as a captain November 8th, 1861 for a three-year tour of duty. Wounded in action June 1st, 1862 at Fair Oaks, VA and died of his wounds June 30th, 1862.
