Alfred Covell Woods Alternative names in records: A. C. Woods, Clifford Woods. Home: Crown Point, Essex County, NY From 1865 Census Books, Essex County Clerk’s Office: Covil A. Woods [sic], Company E, 62nd NY: Woods was one of four Crown Point men who enlisted in the 62nd in May 1861; the others were: NB: Apparently no history of the 62nd NY written, but there is one of the 93rd Pennsylvania Vols , which was brigaded with the 62nd NY & mentions it frequently: Mark, Penrose G. : Red White and Blue Badge; Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers.
