Cpt. John Dwyer Back to 63rd Regiment During the Civil War
John Dwyre: Age, 25 years. Enrolled October 3rd, 1861 at Albany. Mustered into Company K as a private October 3rd, 1861 for a three-year tour of duty. Promoted to sergeant December 1st, 1861 and first sergeant March 10th, 1862. Transferred to Company G at an unknown date and wounded in action September 17th, 1862 at Antietam, MD. Mustered in as first lieutenant Company K November 12th, 1862 and promoted to captain December 16th, 1862. Mustered out June 12th, 1863. Back to 63rd Regiment During the Civil War
