Mjr. Thomas Touhy Back to 63rd Regiment During the Civil War
Thomas Touhy: Age, 28 years. Enrolled August 7th, 1861 at New York City. Mustered into Company A as a second lieutenant August 7th, 1861 for a three-year tour of duty. Discharged March 10th, 1862. Appointed second lieutenant, same company March 25th, 1862 and mustered in as captain Company I September 17th, 1862. Transferred to Company A June 12th, 1863 and mustered in as a major April 26th, 1864. Wounded in action May 5th, 1864 at the Wilderness Va. Died of his wounds May 30th, 1865. Back to 63rd Regiment During the Civil War
