29 years old when enrolled in 2nd Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry on April 24, 1861 at Troy.
Mustered in as captain, Co. H, May 14, 1861 to serve for two years.
Resigned August 2, 1861.
Enrolled March 1, 1862 at Albany in the 6th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry.
Mustered in as captain, Co. E, March 24, 1862 to serve three years.
Mustered out with company, June 25, 1863.
31 years old when enrolled in 159th Regiment, New York Volunteer Infantry on April 1, 1864 at Albany.
Mustered in as captain, Co. I, on April 11, 1864.
Wounded in action, September 19, 1864 at Opequon, Va.
Dismissed, July 21, 1865.
