Soldiers of the New York Army National Guard and the Army Reserve's 310th Military Police Battalion work with members of the Peekskill
Volunteer Ambulance Corps during an emergency responder drill conducted Saturday, October 18 at Camp Smith Training Site in Cortlandt Manor.
The exercise tested the ability of Camp Smith personnel, and local civilian first responders to cope with a casualty at one of the trqaining area's ranges.
The exercise, which also involved a Life Net of New York emergency medical helicopter, simulated a gunshot wound to a member of the Uniondale-based 310th MPs while training on Camp Smith's Range 1.
Members of the Continental Village Fire Department, the Westchester County Emergency Management Office, and the New YOrk Guard, the state's volunteer defense force, also participated.
