NY Welcomes Newest Member on Independance Day

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -- The New York Army National Guard welcomed its newest Citizen Soldier on July 4th when Spc. Frank Rosales from Porter Corners, N.Y. enlisted as a Forward Artillery Observer in the Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry. Rosales, a former U.S. Marine, was recruited by a Guard Recruiting Assistant, Sgt. Erwin Dominguez of the 1st Battalion, 258th Field Artillery. Administering his oath of enlistment were Chief Warrant Officer Two Ryan Comstock from Queensbury, serving in the 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Regiment and 2nd Lt. Dawn Hersey of Stony Creek, serving with the 42nd Infantry Division Headquarters. Both officers returned to the Queensbury Readiness Center to administer the oath of enlistment since it was the same location that they first joined the New York Army National Guard.
