FORT RUCKER, Ala. - Warrant Officers John Hermanson and Chris Seeger represented the New York Army National Guard with distinction on Nov. 9, both receiving the distinguished honor graduate certificate for the Initial Entry Rotary Wing course.
They attended flight school for the past 12-16 months and have put countless hours of hard work and sacrifice into this accomplishment.
The class consisted of 34 officers, both commissioned and warrant and only four officers were awarded distinguished honor graduate.
Hermanson is assigned to Detachment 1, Company B, 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment (Kongs) and will be flying a CH-47D (Chinook). Seeger is assigned to Co. F, 1st Bn., 169th Air Ambulance and will be flying a UH-6 (Blackhawk).
Also in this graduating class was 1st Lt. James M. Hasan who is assigned to Co. B, 3rd Bn., 142nd Assualt Helicopter Battalion and will also be flying a UH-60.
