FARMINGDALE, NY --Major General Patrick Murphy, the Adjutant General of New York is joined by Army Reserve Major General William Waff, commander of the 99th Regional Support Command, Army Reserve Brigadier General John Cornelus,Commander of the 800th Military Police Brigade, and representatives of the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve and local and state political leaders during a ceremony officially opening the new Farmingdale Armed Forces Reserve Center on August 16.
The center will provide a training base for more than 1500 members of the New York Army National Guard, the Army Reserve, the Navy Reserve and the Marine Corps Reserve and employ more than 150 full-time service members. The New York Army National Guard is the lead agency for the project.
