LATHAM-- New York Air National Guard Commander, Major General James W. Kwiatkowski, known as "General Kiwi" receives a globe as a retirement present from the Air National Guard’s wing commanders during a retirement ceremony held Saturday, Dec. 3 at Joint Forces Headquarters here.
Making the presentation were, from left, Brig. Gen. Verle Johnson, commander of the 105th Airlift Wing; Col. Tom Owens, commander of the 106th Rescue Wing; Kwiatkowski; Col. Jim McCready,commander of the 107th Airlift Wing; Col. Tim LaBarge, commander of the 109th Airlift Wing, Col. Kevin Bradly, commander of the 174th Fighter Wing, and Col. Dawn Deskins, vice commander of the Eastern Air Defense Sector.Kwiatowski is slated to retire in January 2012.
