Troops Celebrate Army Birthday at Camp Smith

CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE, CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- More than 40 New York Army National Guard Soldiers gathered here June 14th at the Chaplain Duffy Chapel/Spiritual Fitness Center to celebrate the Army’s 237th Birthday with the cutting of an Army birthday cake to celebrate the event. The cake was cut by the oldest member in attendence,, Master Sgt. David McGlynn, from the Camp Smith Range Control staff, and the units youngest Soldier , Spc. Micah Hayre, Chaplain Assistant with the 204th Engineer Battalion. Looking on, on Hayre’s left is Lt. Col. Robert Epp , the Camp Smith Installation Commander and other staff and Soldiers from the post and the 204th Engineer Battalion.
