Higher noise levels than usual at Fort Drum Ranges on Friday

FORT DRUM, NY (04/02/2015)(readMedia)-- On Friday, April 3rd there will be higher than normal levels of training noise coming from Range 48 in the vicinity of Antwerp and Fowler.

The anticipated noise should not be a cause for alarm.

Fort Drum Range 48 will be used by the Air Force's 4th Fighter Wing from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina for training during the afternoon-hours. The training is in preparation for future missions.

Anyone with noise concerns during this time should call the New York State Airspace Hotline at 1-800-228-3567.
