JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST--New York Army National Guard Soldiers of the 107th Military Police Company, 104th Military Police Battalion camouflage their vehicles during a base security exercise during the units annual training at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst N.J. August 13 2018. National Guard members are typically required to attend an annual training period (usually 2 weeks in the summer) each year in addition to their one drill weekend each month.

Guantanamo Ceremony for 107th MP

GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA--New York Army National Guard Citizen-Soldiers of the 107th Military Police Company stand in formation during a Transfer of Authority ceremony on June 12 as the unit turned over the security mission it had been conducting to 755th MP Co., Puerto Rican Army National Guard. The Soldiers of the unit are due to return to New York on Saturday, June 23.

New York Soldier Competes for Best Warrior Title

FORT BENNING, GA-- New York Army National Guard Sgt. Shawn Chapple, a member of the 107th Military Police Company, moves a simulated casualty downrange during the Army National Guard’s Best Warrior Competition here on August 6. Chapple was one of 14 Army National Guard NCOs and enlisted Soldiers competing for top honors. Chapple, who represented the Northeast in the competition didn’t win but did well, according to New York State Command Sgt. Major Frank Wicks.

Farewell to Utica-based Military Police Company

The unit is heading to Fort Bliss, Texas to train before deploying to Guantanamo Bay Naval Base to provide security at the detention facility there.

Testing The Best at Camp Smith

The evaluate a casualty task was just one of eight warrior tasks required during the Warrior Task testing conducted as part of the 2011 National Guard Bureau’s Region 1 Best Warrior Competition held at Camp Smith Training Area, Cortlandt, NY, May 10-12. Region 1 encompasses the northeastern states and 14 enlisted Soldiers and Non-Commissioned Officers took part in the event.
