Description:This range is used to train individual Soldiers on the skills necessary to align the sights and practice basic marksmanship techniques against stationary targets. The range is designed primarily for training Shot-Grouping and Zeroing exercises with the M16 and M4 series rifles as well as crew served machine guns up to 7.62 mm, and the 9mm pistol. This range is also used to qualify Soldiers on the 25 meter alternate course (ALT-C). Paper targets are used.

Range Facilities:   Static Target Rail, Wooden Target Holders, left and right limit of fire markers, Flagpole.

Primary Use:   Marksmanship zero and ALT-C qualification.

Alternate Use:   Alternate pistol/combat pistol qualification course, MP CPQC, NBC Fire, 10 meter MG Transition fire

This range is operated under a deviation waiver with a prominent Compensating Terrain Feature and off -setting control measures in the form of OIC/RSO Certification to reduce distance “X” of the surface danger zone (SDZ).

*  This range denies RANGE 2 DENIES TA 1, TA 4
*  Range 3A ENTRANCE ROAD (Range 2A will be put in Check-Fire status during unit movement to and from Range 3A)
*  OIC/RSO will confirm TA's 1 and 4 status with Range Control prior to requesting “hot” status.

Night/ Low Light Fire is authorized, Tracer Fire needs to be approved by the Post Director.

Steel Target Systems are authorized with frangible ammo ONLY.

Ball (military) and Hollow Point, Jacketed, Frangible (NMU) ammunition only.

One scarlet range flag will be used to secure this facility.

Yellow flag indicates maintenance operations downrange.
