The urban Assault Course (UAC) is to train individual soldiers, squads, and platoons on tasks necessary to operate within a built-up/urban area. It provides squad or platoon-size units with a facility to train and evaluate urban operations tasks.
The UAC provides Commanders with a facility
to train and evaluate their units during an urban assault exercise. The UAC
trains units on their ability to move tactically (enter and clear a room;
enter and clear a building), engage targets, conduct breaches and practice
target discrimination, using the crawl/walk/run training concept. The UAC
provides relevant and viable training that prepares Soldiers to be adaptable
to changing urban environments deployed to in the Global War on Terror and
operations other than war.
