The New York State Battle Flag Collection includes two flank markers carried by the 6th Regiment Artillery, NY Volunteers. Each flag is made from two pieces of red wool hand-sewn together along the horizontal middle. The markers include yellow, silk inscriptions and crossed cannons pieced into the red wool field. Polyester tie-backs, each approximately 10" long and not original to the flags, are included along the hoist edge. The measurements include the tie-backs.
