Corp. Horace G. Hopkins
18 years old upon enlistment.
Enlisted on 9/30/1862 at Buffalo, NY as a Private.
On 12/17/1862 he mustered into NY 27th Light Artillery
Promoted to Corp. 12/30/1862
He was promoted to 2nd Lt. and transferred to NY 2nd Art. 7/7/1864
On 7/8/1864 he was commissioned into "K" Co. NY 2nd Heavy Artillery
He was discharged for disability on 1/18/1865
