On 10/12/1861 promoted to Colonel
He was discharged on 7/4/1862
On 10/30/1863 he was commissioned into Field & Staff NY 18th Cavalry
On 10/30/1863 promoted to Lt. Col.
He was dismissed on 11/1/1864

Member of GAR Post # 5 (George H. Thomas) in Chicago, IL
died 5/9/1897
