Brigadier General J. H. Hobart Ward
J. H. Hobart Ward was 37 when he enrolled on May 25, 1861 at New York city to serve two years. He mustered in as a Colonel on June 8, 1862. He mustered out on October 10, 1862 for promotion to brigadier-general in command of the 1st Battalion, 1st Division of the 3rd Corps.
