The New York National Guard has mobilized 23 Soldiers and specialized engineering equipment to help Delaware County crews clean up after a flash flood.
A flash flood on the night of June 19/20 along Beaver Kill Creek has closed parts of County Route 7 and County Route 206 in the Town of Colchester.

The task force is equipped with six 20-ton dump trucks, three D-7 bull-dozers, three bucket loaders, two excavator vehicles, two trucks and a rough terrain roller.
Nineteen other National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are supporting the operation with logistics, communications, and command and control oversight. A total of 42 National Guard personnel are involved in the response.
More equipment may be provided if required.
