Ny National Guard Hosts Interactive Gaming In Queensbury

Video Gamers Invited to Soldier Readiness Center to Play, Learn about the NY Army National Guard

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (09/07/2010)-- The New York Army National Guard Interactive Game Experience is coming to The Queensbury Armory on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Queensbury Soldier Readiness Center, 65 Stone Quarry Road. This free event for the community invites local area students and electronic game enthusiasts to participate in an afternoon of gaming and learning about the New York Army National Guard in their hometown. The Interactive Game Experience will provides a forum for electronic gaming on some of today's most popular titles and gives young men and women in the community an opportunity to visit a Soldier Readiness Center and learn about different career paths and educational opportunities with the New York National Guard. The Interactive Game Experience, visiting college and university campuses and other locations across New York, is an innovative outreach by the New York Army National Guard to showcase the career and educational opportunities available to young men and women as they gather to play this year's latest video games. Over 30 of today's popular electronic games will be featured including: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 Transformers: War for Cybertron Iron Man 2 Skate 3 Red Dead Redemption UFC Undisputed 2010 NCAA Football 11 Madden NFL 11 The Exhibit includes 17 game ports with 19" and 42" HD flat screen monitors featuring Nintendo® Wii™, PlayStation® 3, and Xbox 360™ game consoles. In addition to regular play, gamers can sign up to participate in the following 2 tournaments during the afternoon; prizes to all winners.
