F-15 Fighters Conduct Intercept Training over Rome, Albany
Massachusetts Air National Guard fighters will exercises in morning and afternoon
LATHAM, NY (11/16/2011)-- F-15D Fighters from the Massachusetts Air National Guard will be conducting interception exercises over Rome and Albany on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The aircraft, from the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, Massachusetts, will intercept Civil Air Patrol planes over Rome mid-morning. The intercepts over Albany will take place in mid-afternoon.
The interception exercises are part of the Massachusetts Air National Guard’s proficiency training. The fighter’s based at Barnes Air National Guard Base are responsible for responding to airborne threats in the northeast
