Poor Weather Conditions Force Cancellation of Army National Guard Helicopter Water Bucket Training
Exercise in Conjunction With New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Central Pines Barrens Commission Was Scheduled for May 9.
RIVERHEAD, NY (05/08/2012)(readMedia)-- Poor flying conditions have forced the cancelation of a joint New York Army National Guard /The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation/Central Pine Barrens Comission training exercise in which Army National Guard helicopters would train in using water buckets to extinguish fires.
The exercise was supposed to occur on Wednesday, May 9.
This is the second time bad weather has forced the cancellation of this training. The original training date at the Sarnoff Preserve was set for May 3.
