CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE--Members of the New York Army National Guard's Honor Guard carry a coffin containing the remains of an unknown New York Civil War Soldier into the Duffy Chapel at the National Guard's training site north of Peekskill on Tuesday, Sept. 15. The Soldiers remains were discovered on the Antietam Battlefield. He was identified as a New Yorker by his uniform buttons and the New York National Guard has teamed up with the National Park Service and Department of Veterans Affairs to bring this unknown Soldier back to New York to be buried. The Soldiers remains will move to the New York State Military History Museum on Wednesday, Sept. 16 and the be interred at Saratoga National Cemetery in Sept. 17.
