LATHAM--Texas artist Phil Taylor embraces Vicki DiMura, mother of New York Army National Guard Sgt. David Fisher who was killed in Iraq in 2004, during a portrait presentation ceremony Friday, Nov. 13 at New York Division of Military and Naval Affairs headquarters here. Taylor paints portraits of fallen American Soldiers and presents them to family members through the American Fallen Soldier Project. Fisher a member of D. Company 101st Cavalry, assigned to the 1st Battalion 69th Infantry, was killed when his humvee rolled over on Dec. 1, 2004. DiMura now works for the New York Army National Guard's Yellow Ribbon Reintegration program.
