FORT DRUM - Pfc. Timothy White, a member of Headquarters and headquarters Company of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, keeps an eye on the giant air bladder that is used to raise the main command tent so that the huge tent can be collapsed slowly and with minimal personnel on July 28 as the unit prepares to return to home station. The main command tent is the anchor for half a dozen medium tents that connect other 42nd staff sections. The 42nd recently validated on the Army’s latest command post of the future which comprises high tech communications that allow a commander full view of the battlefield.
