LATHAM, N.Y. -- 102nd Military Police Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Arthur Zegers (center) passes the 206th Military Police Company guidon to Capt. Carlos Nazario (right), signifying Nazario's assumption of command of the company in a ceremony here July 9. Nazario assumed command from Capt. Kevin Jusza (left) the outgoing commander. The New York Army National Guard's 206th Military Police Company has served in Iraq and responded to Hurricane Sandy and recent Mohawk Valley flooding. Traditionally the ceremony allows the Soldiers to see who they will follow on the battlefield as the symbol of their unit goes from the old commander to the new one.
