NEW YORK--A New York Army National Guard Soldier of the 133rd Composite Supply Company, part of the 53rd Troop Command, warehouse and inventory the initial shipments of a FEMA Field Hospital for setup at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City March 25, 2020. The Javits Center will be converted to a temporary medical facility to ease the bed shortage of New York Hospitals as part of the state response to the COVID 19 outbreak. More than 2,000 New York National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are on duty as part of the response effort.

New York Army National Guard Sgt. The event hosted members of the New York Army National Guard's 133rd Quartermaster Company, providing nearly 170 Soldiers and family members with information about benefits and services for the returning Iraq war veterans. The Reintegration Program is designed to help transition the Soldiers back to Citizens. The unit mobilized in early March 2008 following an intensive annual training period in February 2008 to conduct individual Soldier training at Fort Dix to prepare for the unit's deployment to Iraq. The company was responsible for several important sustainment operations at Al Asad. The unit managed a food distribution warehouse and fuel logistics yard, providing everything from food for the troops to fuel for convoys and helicopters.
