Motorcycle Safety Courses for NYARNG RidersFree Basic Rider and Experienced Rider motorcycle safety courses offered to Soldiers
New York Army National Guard soldiers are eligible to take one or more motorcycle safety courses. Additional Information:
Basic Rider Course (BRC)2 days, 16 hours - 8:00 am to 5:30 pm - Must have motorcycle permit All 2011 Basic Rider Courses are closedExperienced Rider Course (ERC)Even if you've been riding for some time, there's always something new to learn. Increasing numbers of seasoned riders are flocking to the eight hour Experienced Rider Course to hone there skills and fine-tune the mental skills needed for survival in traffic. You'll discuss with your peers how to balance the mental and physical aspects of safe riding, manage risk, increase visibility and optimize your lane position. The Experienced Rider Course also covers protective gear, rider responsibility, motorcycle inspection and care, and the effects of alcohol and other drugs on riding. Using your own motorcycle, you'll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering, swerving and limited space maneuvers. Prerequisites:

These courses will be held at the Fort Drum Command Safety Office. Motorcycles will not be provided for the course. Additional Information:
Motorcycle Safety Course - Niagara FallsPOC is Alan Davidson (716) 236-2141 The Niagara Falls Safety Office is sponsoring on-site motorcycle training courses throughout the summer. These courses will be held at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. Motorcycles will not be provided for the course. Additional Information:
