106th Regiment (RTI) Units

The 106th Regiment (RTI) Headquarters and its Battalions are located on Camp Smith Training Site in Cortlandt Manor, New York. The regiment's history and lineage is traced back to 1862 when a Brooklyn-based City Guard Reserve was mustered into State Service as the 23rd New York State Militia.

HQ, 106th RTI

The 106th Regiment (RTI) provides leadership training, Officer Candidate School and general studies training for the Army National Guard (ARNG), the United States Army Reserve (USAR), and Active Component (AC) by working in conjunction with the United States Army Infantry School (proponent for OCS and 11B10 MOSQ).

The 106th Regiment (RTI) plans and programs all training requirements identified by the Operations, Readiness and Training Directorate (ARNG-TRI), the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT), and all State Funded RC requirements.

1st BN (IN), 106th Regiment

The 1st Infantry Battalion (RTI) provides professionally trained and certified instructors, capable of delivering a quality education to our students, enabling our students to return to their units capable of succeeding in a complex operational environment.

The 1st Battalion 106th Regiment (RTI) instructs the 11B Infantryman Course, Maneuver Tactics Foundation Course (MTFC), Combatives Level 1 and 2, and the Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) Course.

2nd BN (MOD), 106th Regiment

The 2nd Modular Battalion (RTI) plans, resources and executes training in accordance with TRADOC Regulations and Course Management Plans of OCS for Soldiers in the Army National Guard.

2nd Battalion instructs the Officer Candidate School (OCS), 68W Sustainment Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, CPR Course, Future Leader Course (FLC), Tactical Athlete Course (TAC), GSA Bus Driver Training, and the Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC).
