Outstanding Enlisted Leader of the Year Ribbon

NEW YORK STATE OUTSTANDING ENLISTED LEADER OF THE YEAR RIBBON

Ribbon established 1 July 2004 (retroactive to 1 January 1994).

To whom awarded:

The New York State Outstanding Enlisted Leader of the Year Ribbon may be awarded to current members of the New York Army National Guard or New York Air National Guard who meet the standards as defined below.

Standards:

Members of the New York Army National Guard (NYARNG) and New York Air National Guard (NYANG) are eligible. NYARNG Soldiers who are selected as the New York State Outstanding Soldier, NCO, or First Sergeant of the Year are eligible. NYANG Airmen who are selected as the New York State Outstanding Airman, First Sergeant, NCO, or Senior NCO are eligible.

How awarded:

Recommendations for the Outstanding Enlisted Leader of the Year Ribbon will be submitted DMNA Form 106D-R, through command channels and forwarded to this headquarters, ATTN: MNP-ARB for NYARNG personnel and MNAF/DP for NYANG personnel.

Succeeding awards:

For each succeeding award, a silver (shield) device will be attached to the ribbon. These devices shall be silver to represent one additional award and gold to represent five additional awards.

Approving authority:

The approving authority for this award is The Adjutant General.
