Warrant Officer
The Army Warrant Officer is a self-aware and adaptive technical expert, combat leader, trainer and advisor. Through progressive levels of expertise in assignments, training and education, the Warrant Officer is an innovative integrator of emerging technologies, a dynamic teacher, a confident war fighter, and a developer of specialized teams of Soldiers. They support a wide range of Army missions throughout their career. Warrant Officers in the Army are accessed with specific levels of technical ability. They refine their technical expertise and develop their leadership and management skills through tiered progressive assignment and education.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Mental Aptitude -
- GT score of 110 or higher on ASVAB
- Physical -
- Must pass an appointment physical within two years from date of appointment as a warrant officer and meet height and weight standards of AR 600-9
- Age -
- Technical Warrants: 18 to 46 (waivers possible); Aviation Warrants: 18-33 (no waivers)
- Citizenship -
- U.S. Citizen by birth or naturalization
- Education -
- High School Graduate or pass the General Education Development (GED) test at the high school level
- Technical Leadership Potential -
- Must demonstrate pattern of leadership potential and competence in career field
- Moral Character -
- No pattern of illegal or immoral behavior
