Sling load training in Lewiston

LEWISTON-- A CH-47 assigned to the New York Army National Guards Company B 3rd Battalion 126th Aviation conducts sling load training with Soldiers of Company D 427th Support Battalion who are preparing to load a water trailer at the New York National Guard training location in Lewiston N.Y. on June 10 2017. The Soldiers trainined in sling loading operations with the aviators.

A Helping Hand From New York

New York Army National Guard Specialist Gregory Dippel from Oswego, New York hands a bag of personal hygiene items to a resident of the Tahai Maskan Boys Orphanage in Tahal Maskan, Afghanistan, during a humanitarium relief mission conducted by Company B 427th Combat Support Battalion on 23 October. The company, serving as part of the logistics task force for Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix, commanded by the New York Army National Guard's 27th Brigade Combat Team, trains the Afghan National Army and Police. The Company, whose mechanics repair task force equipment, brought 15 pallets of items donated by New Yorkers for the 350 orphans at the home.

Keeping Them Rolling in Afghanistan

Specialist Eugene Corbett, from Webster, NY, a mechanic assigned to Company B, 427th Support Battalion based in Rochester,works on a ball joint on an M1151 Uparmored Humvee at Camp Phoenix, Kabul Afghanistan. Corbett is one of 1,700 New York Army National Guard soldiers deployed as part of Combined Joint Task force Phoenix VII. The Task force is training Afghan National Army and Police members as part of Operation Enduring Freedom
